Chapter President Johnny Behrooz received a framed plaque which will be on permanent display at the Ammons Chapter House. The actual R.E.D. P.I.G. Award will also be on display at the chapter house for the year following presentation until next year's recipient is chosen. Ten brothers from the chapter were on-hand along with Sr. Chapter Advisor, "JB" Braxton, for the award ceremony. Sigma Pi Fraternity (Rho Chapter) was also represented at the ceremony and honored as first runner-up amongst this year's honorees.
Conceived and developed by Campus Police Lt. R.W. Potts and supported by Chief of Campus Police Tom Younce, the R.B.I. Program is believed to be the first of its kind on an Amercian university campus.
What is the Responsible Behavior Initiative?
The North Caroline State University Police Department, as part of its mission, provides education outside of the classroom. To further this mission, the police department has developed a Responsible Behavior Initiative (RBI). This proactive initiative promotes positive interactions between the campus community and the police, by emphasizing responsibility to oneself, to others and to the core values of North Carolina State University. The overall goal of this initiative is to provide social education for what it means to be a responsible community member.
